Seminari contro la VIOLENZA SULLE DONNE – Inizio del secondo semestre 2017/2018

Nell’ambito dei Seminari contro la Violenza sulle Donne e dell’insegnamento di Lingua Inglese 2 Magistrale su Language & Gender, la Prof. Daniela Francesca Virdis terrà le due lezioni seguenti:

  • venerdì 2 marzo 2018 ore 12-14, laboratorio A (Campus Aresu)
  • mercoledì 7 marzo 2018 ore 14-16, aula 2 (Campus Aresu)

Le lezioni costituiranno le prime del secondo semestre dell’insegnamento di Lingua Inglese 2 Magistrale. Poiché si presenteranno esempi di analisi stilistica, anche tutti gli studenti di Lingua Inglese 1 Magistrale sono invitati a partecipare.

Metaphor 2017 International Conference – Cagliari, 21-22 September 2017

The two-day conference Metaphor 2017: Cognitive and Stylistic Approaches to Metaphors and Metaphor Studies will take place on 21-22 September 2017 at the University of Cagliari, Department of Philology, Literature and Linguistics. The keynote lectures will be given by Zoltán Kövecses (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest) and Catherine Resche (Université Panthéon-Assas Paris 2). A workshop on metaphor typology, identification and annotation will be held in English and French. Six scholars in the fields of English Linguistics and General Linguistics will present their research.

The conference is the first event organised by a multi-disciplinary and multi-language research group awarded funding for a PRIN Project (2015 Call, granting no. 2015YHYWSH). The group is composed of scholars from Genoa, Turin and Cagliari and from other Italian and international universities examining new perspectives on metaphor studies.
